- Conversions do not happen overnight. Everyone has their own personal conversion story; every conversion is starkly unique. Many things happened in my life leading up to my conversion; however, after THIS, I had no other choice but to choose the Catholic Church! Did I make a mistake by leaving my Protestant faith?

You have not converted me, but you are a font of inspiration for me to keep going.
I am feeling this irresistible pull to become one, even though I am a very lazy student.
This year might seal the deal if I can get all the work required to validate my marriage.
Everyone please pray for Daniel!
I am happy to take part in my first Eucharist this coming Easter Vigil. This is my story if it makes any difference: ruclips.net/video/6iIm3GdpkpQ/видео.html
Beautiful conversion story. I gave up alcohol for lent this year and have never felt better physically mentally and spiritually. Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit and not wine. Thanks brother
👍🏻👏💪🏻🙏🏻
Great video ❤ I had to take a leap of faith twice , once with Jehovah's Witnesses and then realizing I was being lied to by Protestants
As a life-long practicing Catholic (just turned 78) I am truly moved by your story. I was almost in tears as I listened, knowing how much I have often taken my Faith for granted. I was on the edge of my chair waiting "what was coming next" in your narration. I pray
you continue with your videos!!
Thank you!
I came into full communion with the Church back in 2020 and I completely relate with what you said about your Gma. My Gma was a saint, I still have her rosary (she passed 9-10 years ago) and pray it. I am sure that her prayers had a huge impact on why I came into the Church.
Wow that was so good Eric I was crying at the end and asking your grandmother pray for me God bless you brother✝️🙏
That bit about losing friends and family is so true. When I made the decision to convert, I had a Baptist Chaplain in the Army who I was very close to. He was like a mentor to me because I was planning on eventually becoming an Army Chaplain myself eventually. I had even decided to convert yet, I was still in the confusion and questioning stage and I would go to this Chaplain with my questions, hoping he'd give me the right Protestant answers and he just couldn't give me any satisfying answers, and he eventually started treating me like I was a lost cause and I felt written off in a time where I felt I needed guidance. It hurt. It hurt badly. It hurt to badly, in fact, that I chose never to tell my devout Lutheran grandmother, who knew I had wanted to grow up to be a Lutheran pastor since I was a child and had been so supportive of that, that I had become Catholic. Even until her death, we never had that talk. I never shared with her why I chose the Catholic Church. I never got to go to her for advice when I was unsure if I could be a priest and if I was just going to have to abandon what until that point had been my only goal in life. And the reason I didn't tell her any of this, was because I was afraid of being written off again by someone I loved and admired, the way I loved and admired that Army Chaplain who turned his back on me. I'm 45 years old. My grandma passed back in 2013, and I still have so much regret that I never had that talk with her and that I was never open with her about converting to Catholicism. So yeah, you'll lose people. You'll have to sacrifice. It won't be an easy road. But when you're convicted of the truth of something, you have to follow where the Holy Spirit is leading you.
Great video, Eric
God bless you brother. It was hard enough for me to revert back to our faith after 15 years. I can only imagine how much harder it is for full on converts.
Baptized Catholic, confirmed and never want back. fell in with evangelicals in high school, walked away when i was 19. atheist for 26 years. destroyed my life, went to confession and 5 years later i'm still dying to my atheism.
Cradle Protestants go on a certain kind of journey back to the Church. Us cradle Catholics go on a different sort of journey that is no or more less difficult than the journey to our childhood home.
God be with you always. Blessings.
Tq for sharing, I am from Malaysia listening to your conversion . God bless 🙏
Praise God Most High for your conversion to His true One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church!
Please talk about this plague of divorce that is destroying our children, youth, families and marriages.
Crying hearing about your beautiful grandma’s prayers… I’m a grandma but not at that place she was/is at… her example strengthens me, though!💙
As a cradle Catholic I was exposed to a lot of ideas in a very simple way. "Explained like I'm five" if you will.
After we learned about the stations of the Cross and had full knowledge of Christ's suffering, we were told:
If you obey God here on earth the devil will give you a hard time throughout your entire life but then you will get to be with God every day and at the end.
If you sin and disobey God, the devil will leave you alone and you might have an easy life, but you will be separated from God.
Challenge accepted. I could never walk away from such a perfect philosophy. Free Will and an actual choice to walk with God everyday, rather than loopholes and bylaws that Protestants try to worm through. It's so simple.
It’s such a deracinating faith.
I feel like we were all robbed by the Protestant Revolution.
Good job, carry on my friend praying for you.
How do we know that what we know is true? We examine and follow truth. The catholic church has a rich history of scholarship and learning. God bless you.
God bless you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊 thank you for sharing.Your testimony will be of great help.
V moving testimony ❤🔥God bless you more 🙏
This is the difference between elderly people who have Christ and those who don't. I am looking after an elderly lady who does not know God. She said that it is not fun to get old. You do not have a purpose. And she tells me, don't ever mess up with the wires of the TV. If I don't have TV I would rather shoot myself. God bless your grandma. If I do grow old and can't work anymore, I will have the time in the world to PRAY and pray like your Grandma.
Catholic here, I am trying to remember if any of my Catholic teachers at school or Uni ever bashed other non denominational groups.
Is there a story where a Catholic forced other non- Catholics to join us and become one?
Maybe there’s some, but non Catholics are so mad and annoyed when the non- Catholics convert. ✝️
You are darn right! Yet it is their choice to not pursue truth or not.
** pursue truth or not.
Thank you for sharing your story, maybe this may inspire others who are on a similar journey. It's interesting that you've found the answers to your biblical questions in the Catholic Church. I learned it was the Catholic Church that made the bible, and that's a fact that Protestants don't talk about. It was Catholics who for many centuries copied the scriptures by hand, before there was a printing press. And, it was Catholic monks who protected scriptures during a time of great persecution. I admire how Catholics honor the scriptures during their Mass. I believe the Catholic Church knows more about the meaning of scriptures, than anyone else. I'd encourage anyone who seeks answers as you did, to go to the Catholic Church that correctly interprets the bible.
Beautiful,beautiful,beautiful,
this video really touched me, God bless you now and always
Thank you so much for sharing your story.
Powerful testimony!
Great story. Thanks be to God 🙏🏻
Thank you for this video.
DUDE! I also learned that the church didn't teach young earth creationism in RCIA too! That threw me for a loop. I just thought had to believe that to be a Christian. It was relief in the end that i didn't have to hold that up because it is rather silly.
Would you consider doing an episode about the annulment process? Not about your personal experience specifically if you don't wish to, but just about the process, the reasons why it exists etc
Yep! Only members have the privilege of telling me what to make vids on! ❤🎉
@Catholic_Christian what? They were just asking...
@@JessieJoseph-y1wI know. But that is a perk of being a member.
i would have more friends if i was still protestants. but God is the only thing that really matters
Wonderful story

You must not be a Protestant nor Catholic, or Orthodox.... you must follow Christ ❤☦️✝️ God bless you, brother.
Catholic Church just means Universal Church. St Ignatius of Antioch uses it in the 1st century in his letters to the other bishops on his way to be martyred in Rome to encourage them to stand strong as one unified Body of Christ.
Following Christ makes you Catholic, 🤣
I've never believed that moving from one denomination to another within the Christian family is 'conversion'.
One 'converts' from the world to Christ. After that, the Spirit leads us to the place where he wants us to serve. And he gives us comfort in that place.
May all the Catholic, Orthodox, Coptic, Syriac, Anglican, Protestant, Charismatic, etc., brethren in Christ be at peace in the Spirit.
@@billie5057 They are one faith, one Lord. The gospel of Jesus is the core of all of them. But over two thousand years, a variety of cultural forms and customs have developed in the different lands. It was so even in the time of the apostles, with cultural differences between majority Jewish congregations and majority Gentile congregations.
@@stephenbailey9969 Culture has nothing to do with soteriology. It can have eternal consequences if you actually believe once saved always saved and it’s wrong, as an example. Theology matters. It’s not enough to say that we all have the same savior.
@@billie5057 Not in the least. It is the same picture of God in all the Christian cultural traditions. That which is in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds is common to all of them, even if they don't use those specific words. Because those creeds simply summarize what is in scripture.
For the vast majority of the faithful, no matter which pew they have sat or stood in, simple faith in the Lord Jesus, living a holy life, going to the Lord's table with faith and hope and love, and doing good for others has been their lives. And that is all that the Lord asks of us.
Whatever scholars and denominational leaderships might discuss or disagree about is tied to historical claims and arguments. It has nothing to do with the rest of us.
For us, it is sufficient to walk in love as Christ loved us.
@@IIAlexandreDumasII Soteriology? I don't think that word is in the Bible.
The saving grace of God in the Lord Jesus as scripture describes is simple.
We access it by surrendering to the Lord and trusting him in all things, obeying his commands to live a holy life full of active love for others.
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death..." (Romans chapter 8)
@@billie5057 Who says a follower of Jesus has to believe in those two doctrines?
Most Protestants don't even engage with them.
That which is argued by scholars and media apologists isn't the same thing as the simple faith taught in the vast majority of Protestant churches.
Trust in the Lord Jesus in all things, live a holy life, join with other faithful ones to share the Lord's table and encourage one another, do good for others. That is all the Lord asks of us.
Seek the Lord in prayer and trust the Spirit to lead you to the particular people he wants you to fellowship with.
He did that for me after I came to Christ in my mid-fifties. Each time I moved residences, I prayed for guidance, and he let me know where I belonged. First, a charismatic church, then an evangelical church, and now an Anglican church. It's about the specific people, not a shopping list of doctrines.
Great video.
Sorry, had to laugh at the photo of the young you, especially at the hand placed in a rather delicate place - a fourth musketeer? Or am I imagining it?
Thanks for sharing,
God bless,

I second the annulment episode. I have been married once before in a Protestant ceremony and we were both baptized Christians. I am remarried and my current wife was baptized Catholic but we are Protestant. Lots more details but I won't go into them. I would love to message you my situation as I am uncomfortable airing it on RUclips right now, but suffice to say, from what I have researched, annulment for me will be impossible.
My email and X are listed on my home page
@ I sent an email the next day.
People need to study what the catholic Church teaches not tell Catholics what they think the catholic Church teaches which Protestantism likes to do
Only 18 yo bodies can survive drinking all night and then drinking the next morning too 😅
Different visions of heaven. Do Christians kill Muslims as Muslims kill Christians? What have the canonized saints said about Islam through the centuries? How do souls enter heaven with original sin?

I'm glad you where called out of that life of sin and immorality. But I do fail to see how you would have been in anyway a meaningful Lutheran Christian with that kind of life style. I'm not saying that to come off dismissive I'm just truly wondering if there was ever anything truly rooting you in Lutheran faith before you were already converting.
Thank you for your influence on my decisions over the last several months. Next Saturday I will be confirmed. This is my similar but different story: ruclips.net/video/6iIm3GdpkpQ/видео.html
That is one of the faults of Catholicism that it does not believe in young earth creationism and does in evolution.
What do you mean you lost a wife?
His first marriage was annulled
You really share a lot about your life on here. You aren't afraid of being dissected by some rogue antagonist down the line?
Nope
So you lived in your life in open unrepentant sin, and you still thought you were saved... I would hope even Lutherans are not Free Grace and do not preach that is okay?! Why would you feel comfortable living that lifestyle and thinking you are still Christian and arguing doctrine? Did you pastor encourage that as okay? Are Lutherans so heavy on eternal security you felt safe in your sin? You are not even a Christian when you are arguing doctrine and denominations... it feels like you are not simply taking responsibility for your choices-it is not a lack of Catholicism that led you to trample Christ's Blood by indulging in sin, it is your free will. A person can choose Christ in any denomination, they do not need a denomination to repent, it is a choice.
But don’t you think doctrine becomes important when deciding on where to attend church in the long run?
@@michaellemmen Yes, I do. But we can repent of our sin before we understand perfect doctrine, it's no excuse.
@@Dizerner I understand that you have strong opinions, but I would encourage you to consider visiting a local Catholic church and attending a few Masses. Sometimes, the best way to truly understand something is to experience it firsthand. By joining in the celebration of the Eucharist, you might find a deeper understanding of the faith and its practices. I think you’ll gain a new perspective by simply being present in the service, allowing yourself to see and feel the reverence and spirituality that is at the heart of Catholic worship.
@@speransasperansa5150 Sper, basically people feel a spiritual emptiness, and then a bunch of external liturgy feels like something new to them. But this is not the way to solve spiritual drought. It's like, people feel discontent and then go to the mall to shop for new denominations like new bling. I have no doubt this can give someone a temporary sense of reverence or newness that they feel they were missing, but it's the wrong solution. Reverence is not in externalities-it never was, it's a matter of an attitude of the heart. We worship God in spirit, but our flesh always wants external religious activities to feel near to God. God is found in spirit-in the secret place, not in Latin words, candles, robes and rituals. The best thing that could happen to you is to find your spiritual hunger all over again and this time look for the answer in spirit and not flesh.
@ True worship involves both the internal and external dimensions of our faith. While the interior disposition is crucial, the external acts of worship, such as the Eucharist, serve to elevate the soul and are means by which God's grace is communicated to us. The sacraments, as visible signs, help to deepen our spiritual life by making present the divine realities we cannot see with our eyes. The use of ritual and ceremony in the Church is not a matter of mere tradition, but a way to align our bodily actions with our inner devotion. The physical elements in worship are not distractions from spirituality, but instruments that guide the soul to God, fostering a deeper union with Him.
What where good Catholic girls doing at a bar?!?!?!?
when did having a drink become a sin? did Christ drink?
I'm not Catholic, and am sure I can not be, but am glad you are in persuit of a honest relationship with The Creator. However I think you have bought into the wrong expression of Biblical faith. I think if you continue to examine the word of God by the Apostles revelation as the measure of all truth, you may see a clearer interpretation and practice.
If you watch the video, you would learn that doing exactly what you’re asking him to do is what he did and still does. And it lead him to Catholicism.
@Kurial94 Part of my point was if he remains confident in the word handed down by the Apostles first and foremost, without getting sidetracked by ANY outside persuasions, he will be able to come to better, Bible understanding.
I agree. That goes for anyone, but he started by FIRST listening to the Bible at night with 0 commentary or notes. He wasn’t even exposed to Catholics much at all (rather anti-Catholic perspectives mostly). Just listening as you requested. And Catholicism is what it ultimately led to
If you are Biblically literate, you would know that 2Peter 1:19-21 tells us that nothing is revealed through private interpretation and that you had to be an apostlolic man which the Catholic Church as always appealed to, tradition, Church authority &Scripture for doctrine.2Peter 3:15-18 warns us about the difficulties In understanding Paul’s letters and that many will misinterpret and lead others astray as Many Protestants appeal to Sola Fide(Faith Alone) And the passage y’all always appealed to is Ephesians 2:8-9 No where does it say Faith Alone which Contradicts Paul’s first epistle to the Corinthians (1Cor13:1-13). The pride behind your comment “I can never be catholic” is due to the fact that you rely on your own interpretation Which St Vincent of Lerins Warns us of ‘Sola Scriptura’ in the 4-5th century in His Commonitory, the issue is you are not willing to challenge your own narrow view of scripture with history Due to those who taught you. ‘Biblical Christianity’ 😂 if you appeal to the Bible which is a historical book you also cannot by ignorant to the surrounding history that went into its formation. 1 Timothy 3:15 Paul tells us that bulwark and foundation of the truth is the Church no where does it say the Bible is the Sole Authority. And the Apostles you appeal to would be ashamed as I’d love to hear your interpretation of Acts 15? If you say the Catholic is false or any apostolic church than you have to address the passages where Jesus makes a promise to Peter in Matt 16:18 where he tells us that the gates of hell will not prevail his Church, and the Holy Spirit will lead the church into all truth(John 16:13?
@rickblake3674 I'm somewhat confused by your use of the term "Apostles revelation". For you, does that just mean the same as Scripture only or is it more than Scripture? Thanks
